Students and staff at Mary Immaculate Secondary School enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day this week, with sunshine, laughter, and plenty of exciting activities creating a brilliant atmosphere throughout the day.
Some of our most popular activities we had on the day were bubble soccer, which had our students bring out their competitive sides. The sumo wrestling suits were another highlight of the day. Basketball games also took place throughout the afternoon, many students testing their skills in fast-paced games on the courts. The activities gave everyone an opportunity to get involved, enjoy some friendly competition, and spend time with friends outdoors.
Adding to the electric atmosphere was a visit from an ice cream truck, which proved extremely popular in the warm sunny weather. Students enjoyed cooling off with ice cream and refreshments between activities. A huge thank you to the Greens Schools Committee for raising the funds for the ice cream truck.
Sports Day was a wonderful opportunity for students to relax, stay active, and celebrate the end of the school year together. A huge thank you goes to the Lisdoonvarna Pavilion for allowing us use the space and to all staff and students who helped organize the event and made the day such a success.
