Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle students are advised to make themselves aware of the following information before beginning their State Examinations.
- Make sure that your exam number and date of birth are correct and are written on each piece of stationery that you hand up.
- When using the Leaving Certificate answerbook, ensure that you selet the correct Exam, Level and Language. Colouring in the circles completely.
- All roughwork should be completed in your answer book. Only ask for extra paper if your answerbook is full.
- Only use Blue or Black pens. Pencils and coloured pencils can be used for things like diagrams and graphs. Do not use highlighters, gel pens or erasable pens.
In previous years, during the Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle examinations, the State Examinations Commission have received correspondence from candidates who have made an error regarding the completion of their examination number or date of birth on their answerbook, or completed their examination using an incorrect pen.
In order to reduce unnecessary stress to candidates, please encourage all Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle candidates to familiarise themselves with the Candidate Information Video prior to the commencement of the examinations.
