The entry process for the Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition closed on Friday at 5pm. This year Mary Immaculate Secondary School had a record number of 20 entries. This is a huge number of entries for a small school. The interest in the competition is increasing the whole time.
The teachers mentoring the students are Ms. Garrihy, Mr Collins, Ms. Crilly, Mr. Finucane and Mr. Sims.
There are about 2000 entries nationwide with 550 of these being selected to go forward to the Dublin Exhibition in January.
The students are continuing their research awaiting the outcome of the judges selection process.
Later in the year students will be entering the SciFest competition.
Best of luck to all the students involved.
